Functional Materials Letters is an international, interdisciplinary rapid communication journal dedicated to reporting novel and cutting-edge scientific research on functional materials. The journal provides a forum for communication amongst materials scientists and engineers, chemists, and physicists in the dynamic field associated with functional materials. Different to traditional structural materials, functional materials form a special category of materials which make use of their natural or engineered functionalities to respond to changes in electrical and magnetic fields, and physical and chemical environment, etc. Due to their special functionalities, such materials play important roles on the recent development in materials science and engineering. Functional Materials Letters publishes papers and articles reporting novel functional materials, theoretical and experimental studies of new functional materials, state-of-art materials processing, and new applications of functional materials in micro- and nano-engineering. Among the topics covered are ferroelectric, ferromagnetic, multiferroic, magneto-optical, optoelectric, thermoelectric, energy conversion and energy storage, sustainable energy, and shape memory materials. |
